By fostering an animal from the BAFN, you're opening up a space for an otherwise doomed animal.

Below are just a few of our animals in need of fostering. BAFN will match you up with the critter of your choice. If you do decide to foster please fill out a foster form by clicking here. Please note that your home will be checked by a BAFN home checker to insure it is pet friendly. Please call Laurie at 718 789-6865 to tell us what kind of animal you would like to foster.

Two charmers

These two 3 month old kittens are so happy the bathroom rumbles with the sound of their purring. Just listed at Petfinder they should go soon. Let's get them out of the bathroom into a warm, loving foster or forever home.

Motorola

Purrs so much we call her Motorola. She will climb up your lap onto your chest and lay her head in the nape of your neck and give you kisses. She is currently being fostered in a house with four dogs and needs a foster home where she can relax. This is an urgent case. Motorola tested negative on Leukemia and Aids and is spayed.

Miso – a survivor

He spent the first year of his life living in a feral colony in Williamsburg. One day the colony was intentionally poisoned, and only Miso survived. A good samaritan took him in and cared for him, and discovered he doesn't act like a feral cat at all. In fact, he loves to be petted, is playful and craves attention. The good woman has had MIso for three days and now her landlord is threatening her with eviction. Let's get Miso into a loving foster home. He deserves to find a warm, caring home filled with love. Miso tested negative on all the nasty's and is neutered. He is a gentlemanly cat who would never bite or scratch. He would be a great cat for a family with kids. He just loves attention and will follow you around and give you head butts until you reach down to pet him. You won't be able to resist his cute little squeaks and the way he likes to rub all over you!

Dash

If you are partial to black cats, you will love Dash. She is a georgeous 1-year-old spayed lady who is a true gentlewomman. She was found living on her own in the woods of PA., and was taken to the shelter. She is an extremely friendly and agreeable cat who is happy sitting on your lap for petting, or curiously exploring her surroundings. Se is very gentle and well-behaved. She has a gorgeous glossy black coat and golden yellow eyes. She is dying to get out of her crate and have some rooms to roam in. Then she will follow you around where every you go! A real love.

Feral Mom and her good natured baby

The mother won't be easy but I haven't met a feral cat yet that can't be socialized. BAFN will guide you through the wondrous process of watching a frightened eventually become relaxed and then affectionate in your presence.
